Grounds: Artistic style is apparent from the moment you approach the curbside. A meandering flagstone path leads you to the gorgeous wooden gated entrance. A custom designed mahogany Spanish double-door gate framed with two galleon-style lamps invites you through the arched entrance into the front courtyard creating a tranquil transitional zone between the street side of the property and the front door. A carved stone bench set at the garden bed welcomes guests to stop and take-in the serenity of the tropical garden setting of this elegant home. When I first walked into the entrance courtyard the stress seemed to gently roll off my shoulders.

The jewel of the garden is the generous size free-form swimming pool and private tiled garden deck located in the spacious back yard of this home. The pool garden was planted and is maintained by a professional gardener who tends to a beautiful variety of mature palm trees and native landscaping in plant beds and variety of colorful flower pots, while a fanciful statue of King Neptune adds whimsy to the pool. The garden deck is appointed with an array of dining and lounging garden furniture and colorful striped awnings provide shade and shelter to maximize your opportunity to live outside in comfort and style. An elegant private outdoor Mediterranean bathing shower was custom created for the garden. Bright artisan Spanish tiles are used to set a large luxurious rain-style shower head made complete with hot and cold water.

Another wonderful indoor /outdoor garden feature of this custom Mediterranean Caribbean vacation home are the private doors in each bedroom that lead to separate areas of the garden. The master bedroom leads to its own private area of the garden paved with a flagstone patio and made complete with a tiled tea table and chairs. The pool side bedroom has an entrance that leads to the pool side garden.

Interior Layout: At first glance, the expansive symmetrical great room with high cathedral ceilings appears as a windowless stretch of white wall framing the pool gardens. Designed to invite in the sun and tropical breezes, the great room is lit by oversized pocket glass doors that open up almost the entire back wall and lead the eye to the large pool deck and free-form swimming pool. This effect creates a very spacious indoor / outdoor living area made totally private with a tall fence and lush gardens that surround the entire property. Inside, the kitchen is finished with beautiful light wood cabinets, solid granite counter tops, and stainless steel sink. Open to the dining and living room area it sets the perfect stage to entertain and provides the cook with a view. The home is furnished using a creative eclectic grouping of wicker, wrought iron and wood that celebrate the Mediterranean - Caribbean aesthetic. The feel is both beautiful and comfortable. A contemporary style bookcase / media cabinet with a large screen HD TV has been placed in the main living area and can be seen from all corners of the open style great room. A powder room (1/2 bath with sink and commode) is conveniently located just off the entrance hall.

The master suite, found through double solid French doors off the great room, is furnished with romance-style tropical off-white wicker furniture and king size bed. Pocket doors lead to a large private outdoor sitting courtyard that reminds me of outdoor courtyards in Spain. Even the master bath will beckon you to the garden via the uniquely engineered solid glass shower doors that fully open the corner of the bath to yet another courtyard area.

The second bedroom is set towards the back (pool side) of the house and offers a unique bedding option. French doors from this bedroom lead to the pool side of the garden.

The third bedroom and second full bath are made private with an entrance off the front hall creating the feeling of a "guest quarters." This guest bedroom repeats the beautiful wood flooring and tasteful tropical furnishings and has exterior French doors that lead to the outdoors. Regardless of where you sleep inside this uniquely designed home you have immediate and private access to the outdoor gardens.
